FAQ – SprayCapture

 

🌐 Connection and Network Issues

1. Why won’t my SprayCapture device connect to the application?
There may be a limitation caused by a missing certificate, incorrect network configuration in your computer, or a hardware issue with the cable or network card.

First, check the hardware connection to ensure the Ethernet cable is securely attached to both your computer and the capturing unit.

2. My SprayCapture device is visible in the network but is not connecting. What’s wrong?

Check if the unit is added in the settings of the SprayCapture web application. There is a need for permission to add this unit to the list.

Fill in the IP address according to the IP address of the capturing unit.

👤 Account Access and Passwords

1. Why can’t I access all the features in my account?

The SprayCapture web application uses levels of permissions. It may happen that your account does not have the desired permissions and the feature is blocked for you.

Contact your local administrator – this should be one of the key persons who participated during the training and has access to change the permissions.


 
2. How do I unlock my account after too many login attempts?

Due to security reasons, your account is automatically blocked after 5 incorrect logins (wrong passwords).

The feature of the forgotten password is not working after blocking the account.
Contact your local administrator to unblock your account.


 

3. How do I reset my password?

There is a "Forgotten password" button right below the login form.

You need to fill in your username and email address which has been linked with your account and also fill in the captcha form correctly.

Once this is done, the link to reset the password is sent to your email address.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – Fill in the username and email address correctly! An input with incorrect email or username will not be valid and it will not possible to send the resetting link.

 

 

⚙️ Hardware – Calibration Check, Licenses, Certificates

1. How do I renew my expired license?

To renew your SaaS license (SaaS – Software as a Service), contact SprayVision via the sales representatives team or through our general contact: orders@sprayvision.com.


 

2. How do I calibrate my device accurately?

Once per 1200 captured images or once per 12 months (whichever condition comes first), the system will alert you that the calibration check has to be done.

The calibration check is easy to do and ensures that your hardware (lights and cameras) are still in the same condition, and it does not affect the image quality and repeatability.


 

3. Why does my SprayCapture unit show a certificate expired error?

The certificate file and certificate key are valid only for 398 days. Simply put, every 13 months it is necessary to update the certificates in the capturing device and in the computer operating system to ensure smooth running of the application.

Updating the certificate key has to be done for every computer user that needs to operate the capturing device.
